AVIDsymposium 2025
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
As you know, increased adoption of virtual events during and after the pandemic, ongoing economic concerns including inflation and budget cuts, lingering health concerns related to travel, and a shift in company priorities towards cost-saving measures have resulted in challenges for attendance at in-person conferences.
Post-pandemic economic recovery, and staffing issues have made it harder for attendees and their organizations to justify time away and related meeting expenses and the post COVID-19 return to in-person has not been as robust as hoped.
The AVIDsymposium, like many other ultrasound meetings, has been challenged with decreasing registration over the last 10 years and we are saddened to announce that we have seen our last meeting.
Over its nearly 35-year experience, The AVIDsymposium developed a reputation for being among the best meetings of its kind. That reputation was due in part to the location of the meeting, the format, the content, its multidisciplinary faculty and the support of its industry partners.
AVIDsymposium was also extraordinarily supported by its attendee partners, and we acknowledge, appreciate and thank you for your faithful support over the years.
I will be continuing to play a major role in the associated VEITHsymposium meeting. To that end we will be sure that VEITHsymposium will include important non-invasive diagnostic topics. So those of you who can come to New York in November may find it useful to join us for an excellent educational experience updating all that is important in vascular disease management.
We wish you all the best and hope to see you in November in New York City.
Sincerely,
George Berdejo and the
AVIDsymposium Program & Organizing Committees
